I’m a “Top Writer in Parenting!” I’m not Shannon Ashley, but I did it!
Published in Feedium on Medium. I’m six months into my writing journey on Medium and I was recently recognized as a “Top Writer in Parenting.” Yep, I couldn’t believe it either and I don’t know why the heck they chose me or exactly what the status means, but I guess I must be doing something right?
Maybe it has something to do with my self-mantra, “Try, Mary Try!” Or maybe the Medium algorithms were off that day.
If you don’t know who Shannon Ashley is, she’s one of the biggest writers on Medium and is also a “Top Writer in Parenting.”
Here’s the back story of my experience and some possible reasons for how/why I received the writing badge. If you’re considering writing on Medium, maybe this will give you some inspiration.
About Feedium:
Welcome to Feedium! I started this publication back in the winter of 2019 as a place to collect useful information about navigating and succeeding on Medium.
Over time, it expanded to include blogging and writing as well. I was researching the hell out of writing, SEO, blogging, and how to navigate this new world I plopped myself into.
And it’s been going well! The publication currently reaches about 50,000 people a month with over 80,000 minutes of read-time between them.
I’m ecstatic to have helped thousands of people learn the ins and outs of Mediuming, and I’m more than happy to host guest writers with the same idea too.—J.J. Pryor, Editor of Feedium
